Here’s an awesome remix from DFA’s The Juan Maclean of The Disco Biscuits’ track “You And I“. It’s 10 minutes worth chuggy tech house number with a hint of progressive that gets heavier as it progress longer. Once again, The Juan Maclean deliver.
The Count and Sinden are two prolific producers in their own rights. The Count a.k.a Herve has been releasing tunes from strength to strength on his own imprint Cheap Thrills, while Sinden was also no slouch with numerous massive remixes. Together, they’ve put out hits after hits such as the classic wobble bassline house anthem Beeper featuring vocal from current hot mc Kid Sister or the dub step monster Stinging Nettle & Dock Leaf. Now, they go even bolder by going old skool jungle in their latest tune Strange Things, released on Domino. All the elements are there, the reggae sample, the cut up funk breaks, the bouncy bass lines, these boys got it all down. This tune will fit right into your old skool jungle set and no one will even realize that it’s a brand new tune. I luve it!
Nic Sarno is quickly rising up in the ladder of top Italian dance music producer. His remix of Steed Lord’s Try Me is showcasing his ability to churned out floor thumping house anthem one after another.
Our friend EGRV are up for couple nominations at this year’s Paranoia Award. Paranoia Award is one of the premier dance music award in Indonesia created by Hardrock FM. You can help the boys by voting for them. In the meantime you can check out their tune “If I Could Feel That Old Feeling Again ft. Karissa” which is up for local track of the year nomination.
Keep It Goin’ Louder is the third single from Major Lazer’s awesome album Guns Don’t Kill People, Lazer Do. The original feature Ricky Blaze & Nina Sky. In this remix by Lazer’s own Diplo, he left out the entire Ricky Blaze vocal and keep only Nina Sky’s part. In some part, this track reminds me so much to Olive’s classic tune You’re Not Alone. Nonetheless, it’s a good and worthwhile remix.
Zed Bias’ Neighbourhood was a garage classic in its hey-day. Now, he passed the key to Chimpo to give it an updated 2009 dub step monster remix and Chimpo did not disappoint.
DJ Fresh, former member of the once legendary drum’n'bass group Bad Company is back with this new release entitled “Hypercaine” on his own imprint Breakbeat Kaos. There’s only one word to describe “Hypercaine”, it’s epic. The oiginal d’n'b track is just filled with epic trance like built up before switch into killer bass line. In the meantime, the flip side featured a dub step remix from Nero. This one is just as massive except for the slower beat.
2009 have been huge for Jesse Rose especially with the release of his debut album “What Do You Do If You Don’t?”. The album spawned several hits such as “Touch My Horn” and “Well Now”. In the mean time, his label Made To Play have been scorching hot with several strong releases. One of those release is from none other than Zombie Disco Squad who is responsible for last year’s minimal banger “The Dance”. Now, both of them team up in the remix of Jesse Rose’s latest single “Heavy Still”. The remix is an exercise in percussion laced minimal groove that will get those feet moving all night long.
