Dieselboy Unleashed!
As a drum’n'bass DJ that grew up in the state, I (that would be yours trully, Random) always admired the one dj we all know as Dieselboy. He has been the ambassador of North American drum’n'bass scene since back when it was considered 2nd rate by their UK cousins. He was the first North American drum’n'bass DJs to be taken seriously in the UK. Of course nowaday, the drum’n'bass landscape is a whole different one with producers and djs from all over the world out and about representing.
I used to collect all of his ambitious mix CDs up to his last one “The Human Resource”. After 2 1/2 years he finally unleashed his latest and best studio mix to date in the form of a free download titled “UNLEASHED!”. The reasoning behind making it a free giveaway was to make an uncompromising track selections without having to worries about licensing and all those other legal matters. So what are you waiting for? I’m kinda late on this track but it’s a good track nonetheless therefore, I thought it still deserved to be featured in here. Lately Chase & Status been putting out non drum’n'bass remixes and I must say I like this new direction. Their take on Jay-Z’ D.O.A was prime example of how good they are and the follow up is even better. The remix of White Lies’ Death takes it into dubstep territory without actually sounding cliche. It might not rock your typical dubstep set but it’s still a real sick remix. I love it.

Just in case you’ve been living under the rock, there’s currently Major Lazer remix contest that is in voting phase at the moment. We’re asking you to go HERE and vote for EGRV. All you need to do is click the yellow “I Like This” icon. Any support for these boys are greatly appreciated. EGRV is putting their finishing for their upcoming 3rd LP and it’s supposed to be the huge. Keep your eye open for more remixes and release from EGRV.

Heads will roll
Yeah Yeah Yeahs last album was somewhat dissapointing. Luckilly, they’ve released pretty good remixes for some tracks including their latest single Heads Will Roll. Earlier remix by current electro pop darling Passion Pit is pretty slamming but it’s nowhere near as effective in the dance floor as A-Trak’s and this version is a must for all of you djs out there.
