Baobinga & Guido – Ballin’ / Bumba

I’m actually taken by surprised with the latest offering from Baobinga’s latest offer from his imprint Build. In collaboration with Guido, he managed to release a deep atmospheric tune, Ballin marries timpani booms with a more aggressive melody, that just sits there, niggling at your ears repeatedly while Bumba struts along propelled by what feels like a more restrained Baobinga drum pattern, rising through strings and guitar licks.

Tali – Dark Days

Tali, one the few female drum’n'bass mc that trully made a splash in the scene is back with follow up to her debut album Lyrics On My Lips with her latest single Dark Days. An appropriately titled dubstep number produced by one time Virus records head Ed Rush, Dark Days unleashed a dark energy that constantly waiting to burst out while Tali dropped her top notch lyrics and rhymes to create another potential crossover hit.

Schlachthofbronx – Chambacu (Smutlee Remix)

The latest dance sound to surface just in time for summer is moombahton. It’s basically a slowed down 4-4 beat running at roughly 110 bpm that pay homage to reggaeton and cumbia. I have a feeling this particular remix by Smutlee of Schlachthofbronx’ Chambacu will be played to death this summer. As for the genre’s lasting appeal? Only time will tell. Chambacu by Schlachthofbronx is out now on Diplo’s Mad Decent.
